It has been three years since I sat behind my old laptop and published my first blog post, three years since I officially joined the book blogging world, and I can’t believe it’s been this long. I also can’t believe there was a time when I wasn’t blogging, because it feels like I have been doing this forever. And it’s been one hell of a ride. I’m not going to lie, blogging has been intense at times. There were moments when I felt like quitting because it’s just so much work and I didn’t have as much time this year as I did before. But then I’m also just not done here just yet, and quitting something I love so very much just because I’m not able to post as much as I used to just seems like a stupid reason, so you’re not done with me yet. Beyond that, I’m grateful. I owe so much to the blogging world, since it has introduced me not only to some of my favorite books of all time, but also to some of my best friends in the entire world.
So thank you. Thank you firstly to my cobloggers, Ellice and Ellis, who put up with my rambling and attempts to organize the blog on a daily basis and cover for me whenever I don’t have enough time to write a review. You are made of gold. Thank you also to my other blogging friends, who have long since crossed the line between online and real life friends. I can’t imagine a day without your kindness and silliness and laughter, and I love you. (You know who you are.) Thank you to all the authors and publishers who have trusted me with their stories, and who have been kind enough to allow me to receive their books for review. I am forever grateful. And mostly, thank you to everyone who has taken the time to read and/or comment on any of my posts. You have no idea how much your kind and thoughtful words mean to me. Thank you for allowing me to be myself and word vomit all over the Internet every single day. Here’s to another year!
